a shaped blank from skip goes for around 1000.00 to 2000.00 dollars(if you could get him to shape you one) so figure that into how much fryes go for.

try 4k+! Frye sold out and can't blame him but he has hooked up with a foreign business partner and sells his boards for around 4k overseas. I just received a price quote for a 10.6 fish simmons at $4.400 and I live in SB/

sold out? thats kinda harsh, no?
hes a master and a living legend...i think he deserves to be compensated for his craftsmanship and lifetime of hard work in backing our whole lifestyle...
the market in japan is much more expensive than ours anyways, just about every board from an american shaper sold in japan is twice as expensive than here...everyone wants to sell boards over there!

the price is what it is supply and demand the guy makes very few boards lots of dudes want them so you pay to get them. so yes he's a sell out or he's just always sold out. sorry if that your go to shaper and want to pay 4k grand then so be it. It cost alot of money to make good boards if you do it for a living. over head is way high

PPS is correct as to price. A Frye blank starts in the $1k-$2k arena. Maybe they are $4k in Japan, but I wouldn't know that. Rich Pavel's boards start in this arena, as well. They ain't cheap, but these guys have put their lives into this.
