Check out the new Indo vid of Kalani Chapman. The wave looks like G land but there is one backdrop shot that shows it is clearly not. The vid is co-sponsored by Kandui so it must be around there. At least on that day it looks like (another) one of the best waves in the world.

If anyone knows where it is I would be interested.

It's either Hideaway's or Nokandui's (most likely the latter)...hard to tell from the unusual angles.

I have seen shots of that place mostly on the Kandui adds. Didn't know it was that good. That vid makes it look like it is as good as G land. Yes, no maybe so? Been to Kandui?? Reviews?

Like any wave I'm sure it has many faces. I surfed it a few times on a boat trip (boat was owned by the owners of Kandui Resort, in fact we checked out the resort long before it was finished). Some claim it to be the best wave in the Ments. Far more challenging and heavier than G-Land (I've been there too), you really need to be able to pump/drive in the barrel or it will out run you most of the time. Definitely not as long, better?? Tough call. Definitely heavier IMO. I spent far more time at G-Land to judge Nokandui's.

Thanks for that. Some pretty epic shots you got there. That one with the 3 boats in the foreground looks like a couple of the days I got Cloudbreak. Way beyond me at this point in my life. I surfed G land just a little past my prime, I think it was 87. It was epic and I did pretty good, got some of the best waves of my life on a couple of days. That Nokandui looks way beyond, at that size anyway. The right at Kandui looks pretty enticing in the pics but I wonder if I am just kidding myself. I still do good in Costa and it seems like my speed at this point but I still like to dream. Thanks again.

Yeah it was pretty heavy. You might recognize some of those high res pro shots from the Kandui website, that photog was on the same trip which is how I came by them, he was cool enough to hook me up. The two crappier shots were from my old point and shoot. Jordan, one of the owners was claiming it as all time. One would hope so.

A favorite shot of the right (Rifle's) attached.

Did you surf the right? Heard any first hand reviews of the resort? Thanks for the feedback, what dreams and sometimes new realities are made of.

Yes, surfed the right anywhere from chest high to the size of the attached pic.

No first hand reports but I've read plenty and it seems pretty top notch and attracts the pro's regularly. From what I saw being built when we were on the island I'm pretty sure it's the top land resort out there.

It was the featured spot in the Slater/Irons flic last night. Kind of hard to tell how good the Right really is. The Left looks just like you said, the best surfers in the world going as fast as they can and not making them all. Overall it looked like a worthwhile place to go and like everywhere, if your lucky your good.

The right is pretty much the best right on the planet, if it's doing it. Can get big and amazingly long, but needs no wind or NW wind. Those winds are more common early season.

If I had to be stuck one place in the world....it would be the Kandui resort. The place is amazing. And when they finally get NFL Sunday ticket.....it will be complete! Will be going back every year for sure.
