Just curious what fin setups you guys run on your thrusters? I've recently been drawn down the endless path of fin experimentation and was wondering what setups you guys run in different conditions.

I broke one of my side fins off the other week, so I am riding the twin fin (center and right fin) for my right hand waves. It works well; I think it keeps you in the barrel longer before the point of no return.

greenough broke the mold when he passed those 'sunrise' monolith and showed me the world of low aspect ratio...jump ahead to present and i listened to an interview w/ 'K-9' on surfer mag website where he mentioned an interesting quirk...with his tri-fins, he always uses the same center fin-slightly larger rather that slightly smaller, as in most cases [center fin for projection of bottom turn and sides for direction change/wall steepness]-and he changes is side fins to surf break condition...the moral of this tale; i used merrick center and a variety of sides, yu, g1, g3 and merricks...all lower ration of base to tip...

Glass on Raptors. For me, best fins for glass ons. Great flex & pop at the tip, super stiff at the base. For fin systems, I love Lokbox because it feels solid & I can use bamboo fins from 101Fins!
