Hello all,
I friend of mine down in San Diego just got a mini simmons and has bee raving about it ever since. Anyone here ever used one? Ryan do you have any experience with this style of board at all? This design has me very very curious.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Funny you bring this up, I just ordered a 9'6" fish-simmons from Larry Mabile in San Diego (he used to work for G&S back in the day with Frye). It is no mini but I ordered it with gephardt glassed on fins and hope it is ready by the end of the month. Josh Hall is also a Skip protoge and shaping mini and bigger fish simmons. I will post a pic when I get the board...

im shaping a 5'5 in the next few weeks as well, I haven't done many of them but have chatted with RK briefly in the water about them and read a whole lot on the subject.
also check out www.hydrodynamica.blogspot.com for tons of short clips/photos of the boards being ridden...i reeeeeally like this one:

Ryan,
I'm picking up the green 5'5" you made for Nick today. It's too bad that his shoulder prevents him from riding this board, but I'm stoked to have another one of your fine creations in my quiver!

Thanks Ryan!! Took it out a few times now and I love it, so much fun. I'll be contacting you this fall to talk about a twin keel fish! Once again, great work!

I was just down at the patigonia shop in cardiff for a alaia shaping class and saw the full line of those badboys. They look like they can really haul some serious assy
