According to Don Curry up in Monterey, Ghost Tree is about as big as he's ever seen it this morning...

You can't tell from the cam, but here's the link: http://www.pebblebeach.com/webcam/17th_java.htm

I'd like to film Ghost Tree tomorrow. Anyone know the directions? Any other info that might help me get some good footage?

Just go to the Ghost Tree page on Surfline, and then click on the hybrid satellite view which overlays a street map on the picture...

I spent all morning at Rincon. Growing by the hour, epic conditions. Will post pics later..

I'm heading back out to shoot, but this is what Rincon looked like a couple of hours ago...

Isnt it bad to enter the water within 72 hours of rainfall?

We were at cp this morning and my husband asked someone heading out what he used as criteria for whether to brave the bacteria. He said something about there not being a creek that runs off too close to where we were and listed a few worse spots as far as sewer line run off. Then he said what I'd been thinking all along, "And, it's overhead!"

17 mile drive in Carmel/Pebble Beach,

Isn't that a private road? Is it open to the public?

There's a toll/fee that you have to pay ~ somewhere around $9 (can't remember exactly)...

On saturday Sandspit was headhigh and pumping through the low tide in the afternoon. The current and the crowd wern't too bad even though tom and bob were out. Got a bunch of barrels, went to check it on sunday and it was knee high.
