Proposed protocol for Surf Reports

I really appreciated the response to my last Surf Report thread and it seems that it really is creating the community that Jon is striving for. It is interesting and fun to get reports from lots of different people at different locations and of course it is also valuable info. My last thread was posted last Saturday and was intended to be rather specific to that day. We had a large North swell right at the corner or our swell window. As it turned out some of the swell did make it and Saturday afternoon was pretty good. People were still using that thread yesterday, Tuesday. That input is appreciated but it is just as easy to start a new thread as add to an existing one so I propose that except in unusal circumstances, we use a new thread for every day there is surf. I just looked a Mesa Lane and it is flat. The wind stopped and it is a beautiful day but looks like no surf locally today. Thanks.

You make some good point Russell. Thinking about this more, I've renamed this fourm "Sessions", hoping to facilitate more such posting.

I also think it's a good idea to start a new thread for every new day. Otherwise, the reports will just get buried.

this morning:
some small peelers at devereaux, sands looking do-able...sunny and glassy w/a little windswell bump :)
good enough to get wet, nothing to write home about though.
