Saturday Feb. 9th Sessions. . .

Had such a nice early morning session at cp or thereabouts before the high tide. Sunny, glassy, nice group of people. The tide was dropping when I left and the waves seemed to be building (along with the crowd). Hope you caught some today.

I surfed Rincon this morning from about 10:30 until 12:30. The waves were pretty good, but setty (long lulls). I shot some pics as the tide started to drop, and it really got crowded after around 1:00; both parking lots and the freeway underpass were full. While I was on the beach I met forum member Russell. Cool guy, nice to meet folks face to face after getting to know them online here!

Here's another shot so you get a sense of the conditions. It felt like an Indian Summer day. Barely a breeze, 75 degrees, super-hollow.

Nice to meet you Jon. I solved the mystery of the Black Beauty surfer. A friend of mine but I forgot he rode that BB. He was out right after I talked to you with his hood and BB so it clicked. He had heard about your shots but didn't know how to contact you. I told him. I am sure he is a photo whore like the rest of us and will be contacting you. Charge him big time. That top photo with nobody on it on the blog is a contender for classic.
