The guy on the CI board is Blake Howard from Carpinteria. I don't know the names of the other surfers.

Oh man, the second one is huge. I give that one my 10' Hawaiian scale seal of approval. That's exactly how big it was at that point just West of Devereux when I went out yesterday, but unfortunately, I was a little undergunned with my waterlogged 7 footer. Damn waves kept whizzing right past me as I only could paddle into the ones that threw out directly above me. Ended up I only caught two 6-8' Hawaiian waves at around 4:00 P.M. only to kook out on both by either falling at a warble at the bottom or just plain taking off too late and having to pop up at the bottom, but damn, those 8-9' foot backs looked heavy.
Thanks for sharing!
The guy on the yellow board is none other than the infamous G-pa...aka Andres Gebhart. G-pa has been charging it for as long as I can remember. From big Rincon to bigger spots up north, G-pa is on it. In fact, he charges harder than is 22 year old kid. Not bad for being 50yrs+

Someone mentioned that the backsiders were the call. Well that seems to be the case. I too saw a majority of good goofies ride that afternoon. This is a nice sequence ... punctuated by one more of Blake (I believe) almost casual ... jeeeeese is there no end!?
Help on the ID of that backsider and we can get him some shots.
thanks all
