how long swell will be around?

anyone know how long the swell is going to last? I hope it is still around tomorrow when I get off work.

the governing factor is how stationary is the position of the wave (storm/jet stream) machine, but general rule of thumb for fast moving system...'up fast down fast'...for a singular swell traveling to meet you. if swell train is stationary or in series then your lucks much better...

Santa Claus lane looked pretty small today but clean lines. Going to try to hit the con at noon anyway. Wetsand.com said today will still have occasional head high sets. Thursday, the WNW will traverse its energy southward throughout the day with head high surf arriving around VC midmorning, LA late morning, then OC and SD by noon or early afternoon. Before then, look for chest high waves at west facing breaks. By evening, size should climb to a couple feet overhead. Thursday looks fair wind-wise with light offshore-ness in the morning. Tide looks rather moderate as well.
