Anyone surf today?

Went to campus and surfed poles. I got there around 11AM, but sat and watched (nobody in the water) for a good hour. I knew it was picking up because the swell + tide were increasing. Some people trickled into the water, and saw a nice set just roll in and got my wetsuit on and got out there around 12:30. It was getting pretty decent, and was glassy for a while but it started to get choppy + the direction changed a bit.

Usually a lot nicer at poles especially given the wave height, felt a bit steeper than usual + theres usually at least some wall at poles and a decent line, but wasn't much, usually just a take off and thats it excluding some larger waves or set waves.

i shot waterhousing at santa clause, with a couple guys out. it was clean, waist high, consistant peaks, some walled up though. brandon, trevor, mike, and a couple other local guys out with me, but otherwise empty up and down the beach.

sandspit was pretty consistent, and around waist with occasional shoulder... but theres no sand on the inside yet so it got mushy by the first section...

Surfed in Oxnard for the evening session. The wind finally let up and although it was still pretty junky, there were some fun shoulders and corner sections. Not many people out.

I traveled down to LA looking at good waves all morning and was going to get a surf in this afternoon. The surf was OK at county line but the further north I got the worse the surf got. I am going to cross my fingers for an early am surf at hammonds or somewhere...
