Anyone been up to the mesa bowl to skate lately? I used to up there all the time and was wondering if there is gravel in the bottom or if someone has cleared it out recently.

my friend matt and i cleaned the mountain-side half of it over christmas, clearing about an inch deep of gravel on the ground, and the side pockets. a week later, it was back and twice as thick. i haven't checked it since; i think it is monitored a lot more heavily than it used to be.

Where is it? I'll gladly sweep/shovel the crap out of it so it's skateable. Seriously, I have no life outside of surfing and skating.

I was up at that park and it sounded like they were filling the bowl with water. Me and all of my buddies used to call it the res when we used to skate it.

I was up there recently and they replaced the 7' chain link fence with a 10' gnarly looking iron one with sharp things on top. Couldn't even see what was in the bowl. Its gonna take alot of work to ever ride this place again:(

Theres a hole where you can crawl under the big fence right over by the bbq and benches:)

I skated it about a week ago and had a great time. Almost as sweet as taking a fatty drop on a wave.
