Campus was junky and windy. Devereux was less windy, but tiny.
I drove around until I wound up settling on the beach by my house.
Hope tomorrow is different, but I guess it's just the season. . .
How were conditions at the contest?

Hi Goletagirl
the "drive around" - so typical of the true surfer ... if I had a nickel for every mile I ........
Heard the cove was flat flat - but I figure they ran the contest in calf high surf, in and out of the sun in the afternoon. Today looks niceer though and should have the rising windswell be end of day - may need to take my box kite to the beach.
too much taxes and plumbing fix-it projects keeping me indoors. I'm outa here

I know about the drive around, last sunday checked Devereux, campus,Devereux, haskulls and went out at campus! All that driving around took 1 1/2 hr, campus was ok considering all the driving around.

:)
Yesterday I went from Campus to Dev to Campus and then ran into some nice folks going to my beach. It was the right call, but you just never know. Sometimes it just takes getting in the water.
Today's dawn patrol was super fun. I started at Campus and stuck there. There was a triathalon and no one could park, so I was the only one out. It was warbly and crossed up, but then a macker would roll through. Totally unexpected. When the tide dropped all the power ran out, so I'm glad I got there early.
Hope you all found some waves this weekend.
