Well, I finally did it- shaped my first board today. Once watched Becker do it in 20 mins. It took me 4 hours. I set my expectations low and ended up very pleased. Probably would have helped to have someone who knew what he was doing looking over my sholder. Anyway, it was way fun- Heres some pics

thats a killer #1, mine looked like hell...glad youre doesnt!

are you gonna undertake the glassing too? come on...you KNOW you want to...

the foil looks great, most tend to over-shape, I undershaped, you nailed it!

Thanks- If the shape is a little odd its because I didnt want to copy for my first so I made up my own template from scratch. Cant wait to surf it

finally finished. Messed up pretty much every step of the way but it still looks fun. Cant wait to take it out

looks great for a #1, wait till you do a clear board, glassing will become 500x easier!

trying a tint and an acid swirl on my first was not the smartest thing ive done

its best you did that first though...thats what i did, started off really hard not knowing how easy it CAN be, then i learned the easy stuff later; now its actually more enjoyable for me to do the pain in the arse colors and pinlines because thats what is 'normal' for me!

im gonna do a pretty gnarly acid splash coming up in a few weeks if you wanna come watch!
