Curious if anybody has another story. Sims is 2 years older than me and as far as I know he discovered the place and set it up. Anybody know who these guys are in this vid? I grew up in the Mountain Drive scene and spent many a flat surf day at the t bowl. That was a long time ago guys, over 30 years? Who was taking vid back then that lasted. Thanks for that.

This video is fulfill the dream, an old shortys movie. steve olson is the guy dropping in on the gigantic wall. below is a quote from youtube, pretty accurate.
"it's was a water storage for a house that was built up there in the 1920's.. It as called the Tea gardens because the owner built a beautiful place to sit drink tea, it had plants and water running down concrete clamshells that flowed into each other. .. this was the top pool and there is a bigger one further down the hill. It was skated in the '70's too, we started skating it again in 1988"

Thanks for that. I guess I was the era of the "bigger bowl" because it was in the early 70's. By 88 I was already too old to skate, although I still have my Sims "gun" that made many a t bowl run and 40 mph down Riven Rock, Picacho etc.

I've heard it's in the S.B. mountain range, but I've never been there. I'm guessing it's north of Mission though since there's lots of houses up there.

We skated the Tea Gardens around 1983-86. Little Frankie Hill was around 12 or so, but he was already getting to be damn good.

I remember going up one time and watching Davey Smith tear it apart, that was my only experience there!
