Ret. Veteran Jon Church Organizes Follow-up to Last Year’s Successful Event for Soldiers

Santa Barbara Surf Club was joined by J.P. Garcia of Santa Barbara Seals, and Chris Keet Surf Happens (two of THE BEST surfing instructors anywhere) today at Leadbetter Beach, where for the second time in as many years, veterans and their families were introduced to surfing and the conception of stoke.  The Santa Barbara Surf Club has a long and distinguished history, and is led by President Debbie Trauntvein.

Soldiers on rotation from Afghanistan. 425th CAB, got to “Share the stoke” today! Thank you to Jon Church- Command Sargent Major (Ret.) for letting us help make it a super fun day for them and their families!
Jon is also a great surfer and member of the Santa Barbara Surf club.

Special thanks to two of the best surf schools S.B. has to offer, Surf Happens and Santa Barbara Seals. Also to the members of SBCSC!

On behalf of the 425th soldiers, their families, and the 425th Alumni, our eternal gratitude to the Santa Barbara Surf Club, J.P. Garcia (Santa Barbara Seals), and Chris Keet (Surf Happens) for their gracious spirit of giving and support to our patriot soldiers as they prepare for yet another deployment overseas. I hope you know how grateful we are for your dedication and for providing a little fun distraction from our daily routine. Thanks for a great job!!!
