Saturday morning’s dawn patrol session at The ‘Con. A SUPer takes out a local.
April Fool’s Day 2012
Usually by the time April 1st rolls around, the probability or likelihood that a honest Pacific NW groundswell will hit our coastline has diminished to close to zero. With 2012 shaping up to be one of the strangest years ever, weather-wise, it should have come as no surprise that 20’ swells would be registered on our local buoys this morning! Following Saturday’s Southern-Hemisphere pulse expectations were running high for the Sunday swell that forecasters had been hyping all week, and at first light it was clear that the swell had shown up right on cue.
