Midweek Session Before the Storm
Local surfers scored mid-week in Santa Barbara as the forerunners of an intense Pacific storm brought graced The Queen of the Coast with clean chest-high peelers. The best swell was forecast for today (Thursday), however strong winds destroyed sea surface conditions in the Santa Barbara Channel. So far this Spring we have seen a flurry of late-season storm activity, and larger-than-normal surf is expected to continue into the weekend. Check out the slideshow featuring Wednesday’s afternoon’s session led by longboarders Andrew Buck, Evan Trauntvein, JP Garcia et al.
