Local artist Kevin Steele was out capturing some surfing action recently at a couple of our local breaks on Sunday, February 28th. He’s asked me to help him identify the surfers, so here we go. I can name two of them, one for sure is Rochelle, the other looks to be Ian Jenkins going off the lip riding backside on the Dave Johnson Progressive Thruster. It should also be fairly obvious by now (if your speakers are on) that I am experimenting with adding music to SANTA BARBARA SURFER slideshows. One concern I have is site performance. Adding a .MP3 file sucks up a lot of extra bandwidth, and my fear is that it will significantly slow down the speed at which the story loads on your computer monitor. Please let me know in the comments section below if you like this feature, or if it takes too long to load.
