SSS 2012: Campus Point

“Once again the sun was blazing at Campus Pt. on the UCSB campus on Sunday Jan. 29th. Too bad the surf finally dropped to micro levels after a 2 week span of really fun waves. Even with the lack of swell the boys and girls took to the surf like it was an amusement park. This event was a big event for bragging rights as the “local” school Dos Pueblos really wanted to keep Santa Barbara from taking the win on their home break.”

“The waves were quite small (a modest 1-2 ft.) but the weather was phenomenal and a good time was had by all. Dos Pueblos continued their march toward another undefeated season. As usual, it was a very close contest against Santa Barbara High, and it came down to the last heat (bodyboard division), where D.P. needed at least a 5th place to win. Our body boarder, Grady Lee, sealed the deal with a first place.”
